Is YachtPass only for new boats?

No! Whether your boat is brand new or has changed hands multiple times, YachtPass is the answer. Adding YachtPass to an older boat significantly boosts its value by consolidating all logs, invoices, and ownership documents in one secure place.

Is the physical YachtPass an official registration document?

No, the physical YachtPass is not an official registration - it is the summary of all your ship’s official documentation in one document. Skipping the pile of registration paperwork you used to bring at check-in. YachtPass is designed as a convenience tool to make your life easier on the water. Authorities still receive the same official documentation as before, but now digitally, via the QR code on the Physical YachtPass, streamlining the check-in process without replacing official regulations.

1. What does a YachtPass subscription cost?

YachtPass offers three plans:

1 Year Captain – €34/month (billed annually: €408)
2 Year Captain – €29/month (billed every 2 years: €696)
3 Year Round-The-World – €24/month (billed every 3 years: €864)

An extra YachtPass for friends or family costs €80,-

All plans include: one YachtPass, unlimited storage in the Digital Vault, access to AI ChatBoat, fast harbor check-ins, dealership support, and more —No hidden fees.

2. Is the price per boat or per user?

The subscription is per boat, not per user.

You can link multiple users (such as co-owners, family members, or crew) to the same boat.
You can also order additional YachtPasses for family or friends so they can check in at ports easily with their own copy.

3. How is the YachtPass subscription billed?

YachtPass is billed upfront for the full duration of the selected plan (1, 2, or 3 years).

The monthly price shown is for clarity — but the full amount is charged once, at the start of the period.

4. I was invited by my dealership. What happens when their subscription ends?

Most dealerships cover the YachtPass subscription for the duration of the warranty period.

When that period ends, you’ll be notified and can continue your subscription directly as the owner.If you choose not to continue, your data (documents, manuals, and service logs) will be securely stored for 2 years, ready to be reactivated at any time.

5. Can I cancel or change my subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will remain active until the end of your current paid period, and then it will automatically stop unless renewed.

6. Is there a free trial?

Due to the high-end, personalized nature of YachtPass, we do not offer a free trial.

Each YachtPass is:
- Professionally printed, waterproof, and designed for long-term use on board
- Configured with your boat’s specs and documents
- Paired with a custom-trained AI ChatBoat that scans your manuals with advanced parsing and reference capabilities

This setup requires significant effort and technology. Which is why we charge upfront to ensure quality from day one — We’re confident the value speaks for itself from day one.

7. What happens if I sell my boat during an active subscription?

You can transfer your YachtPass account to the new owner. Just update the ownership details — they’ll receive the remaining subscription time and gain access to all documentation.

1. How is a YachtPass configured?

To receive your YachtPass, you first complete your boat’s digital profile by uploading the necessary technical specifications and registrations.Once this information is confirmed, you can order your physical YachtPass directly through the platform.

2. Can I order a YachtPass for friends or family so they can check-in the boat?

Yes, you can order additional YachtPasses for family members or crew. This allows them to check in at ports with the same ease as the main owner.

You can manage this in the “Your YachtPass > Crew” section.

3. How do I control which documents are shared via the QR code?

You can manage which documents are shared in your Digital Vault.
The QR code only gives access to the specific documents you’ve marked as shareable.

4. How do I attach a crew list to the QR code?

In the “Your YachtPass > Crew” section, you can add all the crew who is on your boat. Then can also vink who if 'On board' and who is not. Everyone who is 'On board' will be added to the crew list.

To share the crew list via QR code: Go to 'Your YachtPass > Document Manager' section and toggle the crew list status to 'Send'.

5. What should I do if I lose my physical YachtPass?

No worries — you can order a replacement through the platform.Your original YachtPass will be automatically deactivated for security reasons.

6. How long does it take to receive my physical YachtPass?

Delivery time is typically between 2 to 5 weeks, depending on your location & shipping time.

7. Can I update my information after I’ve ordered the YachtPass?

Once the YachtPass is printed and shipped, it can’t be updated. If you need to make changes, you’ll have to re-order a new YachtPass.

6. How long does it take to receive my physical YachtPass?

Delivery time is typically between 2 to 5 weeks, depending on your location & shipping time.

Digital Vault

1. Is my Digital Vault secure?

Yes. YachtPass is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and complies with SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, and GDPR. Your also have the option to encrypt and protect your account with two-factor authentication (2FA).

2. What types of documents can I upload to my Digital Vault?

You can upload PDFs, Word documents, and image files (e.g. JPG, PNG) related to your boat — such as manuals, registrations, invoices, insurance documents, service logs, and more.

3. Is there a limit to how many documents I can upload?

There is no limit to the number of documents you can store. However, the maximum file size per document is 100 MB.

4. How does a Digital Vault increase the value of my boat?

A well-organized archive of documents — including service history, maintenance records, and legal paperwork — gives future buyers peace of mind.It’s proof your boat has been properly maintained and cared for, which significantly boosts resale value.

5. Can I share my documents with others, for example during a sale?

Your Digital Vault is private by default and protected from external access.If you’re selling your boat, you can easily transfer the YachtPass account to the new owner. This gives them access to all relevant documentation instantly.

1. Where does AI ChatBoat get its information?

AI ChatBoat reads the manuals that you or your dealership have uploaded to your Digital Vault. It uses this information to answer technical questions specific to your boat — often referencing the exact page and section.

2. Can AI ChatBoat understand manuals in other languages?

Yes, AI ChatBoat can interpret manuals in most major languages, including English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. However, answers are provided in the language you ask the question in.

3. What happens if AI ChatBoat doesn’t understand my question?

If AI ChatBoat cannot find an answer or misunderstands your question, it will let you know.

In most cases, this means the information you’re asking for is not available in the manuals currently stored in your Digital Vault.

📄 Tip: Upload the relevant manual that contains this information — once added, AI ChatBoat will be able to provide accurate answers based on it.

4. Does AI ChatBoat get smarter over time?

Yes! As more manuals are uploaded and more questions are asked, AI ChatBoat continues to improve in accuracy and usefulness. The more complete your manuals, the better the answers.
